Development
We are committed to accelerating the discovery, development and commercialization of new medicines for difficult-to-treat cancers.
Developing new medicines is an iterative process. After testing potential compounds in labs and selecting drug candidates to study further, Exelixis conducts research and clinical trials to compile data on the safety and efficacy of each potential medicine. Our broad clinical development program includes trials sponsored by Exelixis, industry partners, the National Cancer Institute and investigators.
Exelixis-sponsored clinical trials
Exelixis is the sponsor of multiple ongoing trials, including several global, randomized phase 3 pivotal trials for cabozantinib and zanzalintinib.
You can access a detailed list of clinical studies for our compounds here and on ClinicalTrials.gov. For further information regarding all clinical trials, please contact Exelixis Medical Information at 1-888-EXELIXIS (1-888-393-5494) or at medinfo@exelixis.com.
Investigator-sponsored trials (ISTs)
You can access a detailed list of ISTs at ClinicalTrials.gov. For further information regarding an IST, please use the contact information provided on ClinicalTrials.gov.
Access to investigational therapies
We believe all patients should have access to our investigational medicines when it is appropriate. Clinical trials and requests for “early access” are two potential ways patients can access investigational medicines.
