Associate Marketing Director - GI & Thyroid Key Customer Strategy

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS:

The GI & Thyroid Key Customer Strategy Associate Marketing Director is responsible for strategic oversight, process, and content development of advisory boards, peer-to-peer education, and congress strategy & coordination supporting hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC).  He/She must work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure brand objectives and critical educational objectives are met.  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to, supporting the in-line 2L HCC and 2L RAI-R DTC indications. Additionally, this role will play a critical part in strategic launch planning for any potential new indications. This may include launch strategy development through establishing an annual advisory board plan, insights collection and reporting, development of peer-to-peer educational content, annual plan implementation and routine monitoring, and routinely ensuring compliance. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  
• Partner effectively with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to develop a process to continually capture insights from various key customer activities to inform launch strategy and execution 
• Partner with Field Based Marketing team on thought leader engagement identification, segmentation, and insights gathering 
• Strategically prioritize key customer strategy resources and activities to focus on those with high impact that support strategic insight capture and decision-making 
• Support in-line and potential launch indication strategic plans and performance interpretation/monitoring 
• Advisory Boards: 
o Effectively lead core teams to plan, develop strategic objectives, create discussion content, and execute advisory boards for various key customer audiences  
o Lead annual commercial HCC & DTC advisory board planning and monitoring including managing the budget and ensuring compliance  
o Prepare and present advisory board output, collaborating and communicating frequently with Commercial and Medical Leadership 
o Manage vendor relationships and responsibilities for business rules, compliance, budget, and execution of advisory board plan and scope 
• Congress Planning & Engagement: 
o Proactively identify relevant data events at major congresses and develop plans to gain key customer insights on the impact of these events on clinical practice 
o Partner with Field Based Marketing team on congress engagement with key opinion leaders to gather insights and assess strategic implications to the brand 
• Speaker Bureau: 
o Effectively lead the development and/or maintenance of all peer-to-peer speaker bureau content to ensure alignment with brand strategies 
o Manage vendor and RAMP for all content and coordinate with KCT Speaker Bureau Lead on all planning, timelines, and communication to internal stakeholders 
• Strategy: 
o Partner to help monitor and interpret HCC & DTC market performance 
o Assist in preparing and shaping presentation content for quarterly business reviews and sales huddles 
o Assist in the development/refinement of HCC, DTC, and potential launch indication strategic plans 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  
• No direct supervisory responsibilities at this time 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:  
Education: 
• Master’s degree in related discipline and 9 years of related experience; or 
• BS/BA degree in a related discipline and at least 11 years of related experience; or 
• Equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Experience: 
• Experience in product marketing, field sales, or market research/analysis in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries 
• Highly experienced in interacting with key opinion leaders and other account stakeholders 
• Pharmaceutical marketing and brand strategy development 
• Oncology experience is strongly preferred 
• Management consulting experience is a plus 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  
• Effective prioritization and delegation of activities 
• Ability to inspire and influence others without authority 
• Talent for blending innovation with pragmatic execution 
• Skills to network and collaborate internally and externally 
• Ability to draw insight from market research, key opinion leaders, the sales force, and other sources to optimize strategic activities 
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, initiative and creativity 
• Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding financial and/or other quantitative targets, as well as qualitative goals 
• Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills  
• Understanding of FDA Regulations of pharmaceutical drug promotions and experience with Legal, Medical and Regulatory review processes  
• Business travel is required

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this position is $168,500 - $238,500 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.
